One of the earliest projects I oversaw was a poetry slam event for the Einstein Bros. Bagels location that Robinson Hill opened in Hyde Park.
Robinson Hill had recently opened an Einstein Bros. Bagels concept in the Hyde Park neighborhood. This was Robinson Hill's first franchise opening outside of a typical tourist destination or airport, and it was important to be able to draw an audience and foot traffic to this non-traditional location inside the Hyatt hotel.
To promote the location's opening and draw attendance from the locals, I coordinated a Poetry Slam competition event at the restaurant. Event planning and marketing were all executed by yours truly! I booked the emcee - locally and nationally recognized poet, Tim "Toaster" Henderson - organized equipment rentals and, of course, design the flyer!
